2022 – Year of Possibilities for Irish Business in Malaysia

News
Omicron & Beyond The season to be merry is well over and hopefully most had good fun, and had the opportunity for personal down time, family time and social time. 2021 was a tough year for many, professionally and personally including missing quite a few of our friends and colleagues who chose to leave Malaysia during the pandemic. So much to reflect on and yet time to leave what are memories of another Covid year behind. Time to be in the year of the two’s, for those phonetically inclined, its “Two Oh To Toooo” .. Did you hear the wood pigeon? Onwards comrades, time to be present, practical and to look out to the possibilities that business and life will offer for us in 2022 and beyond. So how are…

Changes to the Board of ICCM & New Chairman, Donal Crotty

News
Over 2021 we lost 4 of our board members, most leaving Malaysia and heading to pastures greener. Although it was a big hit to loose so many in such a short period of time, we feel blessed that 4 members have stepped into the breach and have been elected and legally confirmed to their positions on the board from January 2022. They bring diversity of background, gender, ideas and new energy to the board. Our new directors include Rob van Harren (Dutchman & Director of Leviat SEA & India, a subsidiary of CRH), Jayanthi Theverajah (Malaysian Citizen and Head of Education, Asean Region, Enterprise Ireland), Jasmine Cheung (PR specialist and Co-Founder of Estilo Media)  and Donal Crotty ( Executive coach and Chair with Vistage Malaysia). Donal has also been elected…

The Irish Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (ICCM) is honoured to host the 14th APIBF, which will be held on Friday, November 8th, 2019 at the Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur City Centre. Irish Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia

News, Uncategorized
We are proud that we have finally received approval from the Minister of Domestic Trade for approval of MIBN name change to Irish Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia Bhd (ICCM). We hope that this new name change and recognition as a Chamber will help boost the profile for our members and Irish business in Malaysia.  Our chairman has also received the honour of being elected to the Board of EUMCCI earlier this year and am actively trying to promote Irish business interests and advocacy within the Malaysian market with the support of EUMCCI.  We believe this to be a great avenue of opportunity for Irish business that should be explored further by those who are interested. Finally, we are in the process of developing a new logo/branding for ICCM and…
