Asia Pacific Ireland Business Forum 2019 – 8 November 2019

The Irish Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (ICCM) is honoured to host the 14th APIBF, which will be held on Friday, November 8th, 2019 at the Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur City Centre.

It is Ireland’s premier annual regional business event in Asia. The event brings together business leaders and diplomatic stakeholders from Asia-Pacific and Ireland for the purpose of strengthening trade and investment relations between the two regions.

The Forum is an ideal platform to engage with political and business leaders and to discuss current challenges and opportunities – and to find new partners to initiate new economic activity across the region.

The escalating trade wars, increasing populism and nationalism and Brexit are leading to an unpredictable period in global business. As stated in the title “Global Ireland 2025”, the focus of this event will be on how companies and other economic and cultural entities from Ireland can build up their presence in the region and expand their footprint into the many different regional markets.

Ireland plans to launch a new Asia Strategy later this year. Given that the influence and importance of Asian markets are growing so rapidly, it is important that Ireland focuses on strengthening our engagement with Asia – and on growing our economic and cultural links across the region.
